I normally would have loved the chance to read this book but starting a new job requiring so much of my time and a lot of traveling I've not had the time to much reading at all, which has always been such a relaxing and passionate thing for me. Being a truly devoted fan of “The Lord of the Rings” I purchased this audio book as a way to pass the time and was hoping would also bring me the enjoyment that I get from reading so many of my favorite characters and their tales. This was my very first audio book and I truly think that listening to The Hobbit allowed me to feel a completely different angle and see things that I wouldn't have seen in the words on paper. Absolutely wonderful and will no doubt be my first of many more books on CD.
I was given this set of the Hobbit my mother not knowing that I had already listened to the book.
