it does boot up, then you either use it as a second hard drive to store stuff or you load windows with a cd that you have

How do you know if your computer uses an ide drive or???
What other kind is there? I want to give my computer to
someone and it has an 80 G in it. I want to take this one
out and put in a clean one.

I have a 80 gig hard drive but i just found out its a duel drive 37.5 gigs each, but my computer is only running on 1/2 of the 80, so i need to get rid of this amd fiond one with 80 gigs single drive!
