Tell you the truth, I bought it for a cheap guitar I bought at a garage sale. Husband broke the news to me that the guitar was not tunable after I bought the tuner so I never even bothered to try the tuner. Paid more for the tuner
than I did the guitar. But I hung onto thinking I would buy another guitar.
Messing around with the tuner with my piano..you play a note and the tuner will tell you what key it is. It does appear to work.
