The listing, +++ Dragonware Small Vase+++ Wonderful condition,and highly collectible has ended.

I have the pleasure of offering this beautiful small vase.
Dragonware is highly collected, and the detail is so stunning.
I had this piece tucked away in my auction box's from years ago, not knowing that it is highly collectible.
The beauty of the dragon and detail is hard to capture on camera. I have done my very best to show how detailed this vase truly is.
It is stamped red on the bottom: Made in Japan
There is lot of info. and pictures of these pieces on the internet. But at the time I purchased this, I had no idea what I had.
Many collectors, love and praise the raised work and hand painted beauty of the dragonware pieces.
I have tried to capture all the detail and feel free to ask me questions.
But it is very easy to look up info. on dragonware.
This is a small vase but not lacking on any detail.

It's a little over 4 in. in length. I have taken pictures of it next to a ruler for reference in my pictures. Hope this helps. Thank you for asking. :)

I took the pictures, got them posted, set it down and my 12 yr. old son tried to knock it over. I almost had a heart attack, back in the wrapping it went and back into a box on the shelf. I would've cried crocodile tears. Thank you.

So many different artist followed the original on this design! The "geisha girl" mentioned was the original artist wife's portrait because he made them for her! I have a 55 piece set with her in them, and at least 50 with out, by various artist over the years, absolutely a breath taking design and in so many different colors, its amazing what dragonware has become!! So many people fall in love with it b4 they know anything about it and that's why (other than eBay) its so hard to find in antique stores and fle markets! Congratulations to who wins this auction, I'm jealous! :)

Very nice! I was an antique dealer for years, still am actually, & all the pieces I have ever had of Dragon wear have always sold very fast. People just love them. They don't even make anything similar these days really. Good Auction!!

I remember when I was a child my mother had what I believe was dragonware and if you held it up to the light and looked down into the vase you could see a Geisha girl etched or embossed in the bottom. It was awesome! I loved looking at it. Good luck with your auction.

I can't tell is the dragon breathing fire? I read somewhere, (Google search maybe, they have tons, and tons, of pictures and info. )that it worth more if the dragon is breathing fire???? Have you given measurements/

Yes the measurements are in the pictures. Hope this helps. And I am looking right now to see if it breathing fire, there is a very apparent red line, that is coming out of the dragons mouth. As to appear it is breathing fire. I hope that is true about it being worth more. :) Thank you for the questions.
