The listing, US Army 11th Airborne Air Assault Pewter Shield Pin has ended.
I'd like to start this by saying I know none of the history of this pin. I got it in a box of jewelry I bought at an auction. I looked for similar images on Google, etc. and it seems to be the symbol for the US Army Air Assault, 11th Airborne division. I believe it is pewter, but there are no marks. It is heavy, and measures a total length of 3-3/4" long x 2-1/2" wide. There is a locking pin back.
