shipping sounds reasonable for a gold ring, it is being shipped from canada, and i personally would NEVER recommend mailing a piece a jewelry in a plain envelope, welcome to listia

Mailing a ring in a plain envelope is just asking for it to get lost! I had a nice young lady try to ship one to me like that, the envelope got here alright with a hole in the end where the mail processing machines squeezed it right out! No tracking and is probably mangled wherever it is! Good luck, watching this one!
