Yes they have almost completed filming of the next season with the now 13th Doctor, Peter Capaldi. Current premier date will be in July.
Also if you go on Hulu plus they have far more of the Classic episodes that Netflix. They are in Series 8 of the moderne series but after 50 years you can be assured there will be at least 50 more and like he said there will probably be new Doctor Who episodes after the Earth has passed.

Online rentals are so limited. If you still have the ancient places known as "video stores" in your hometown, you can probably get more recent series.

Capaldi will be awesome! I'll be glad to have the romance out of the way so we can get back to ADVENTURE! But who knows... There's rumors of River's return.

lol that is such a good description. I LOVE that show. I am just sad it ended after 6 seasons. Right now I am watching season 5 on Netflix. Great auction!

Oh no. You must be mistaken. There is NO END to Doctor Who. I'm sure they'll be making new ones long after we've passed from this Earth. Series 8 is filming right now. Maybe Netflix is behind.

There was also a special 50th anniversary episode this fall released in theaters in 3d! Then at Christmas, another extra long special where the doctor regenerated. The new Doctor's adventures look very promising.
