It says it comes with 9v power source plug. Does that mean than you can't plug it directly into the computer back?

Hello.... the plug or power source is for plugging into an outlet . But with the green male jack.... that plugs into your computer... cell phone.... laptop... whatever u want for external speakers .

That helps. I have speakers but my grandson says they are not working for him so I am looking to get a set that does. I guess mine cuts out all sound when you plug your headset into them. I don't use headsets and so didn't know that happened. These will work for that right?
