A cute little book by Metro Books that shows you 86 hanzi and their meanings. Has an excellent, brief introduction explaining the history of the hanzi including origins, structure, simplification in mainland China, pinyin, and tones. A great book if you're contemplating learning Chinese, want to learn or explore a few characters, or if you just plain want to get that darn hanzi tattoo you've always wanted but just can't figure out which one to get. As regards the last example, please make sure the character is right side up before tattooing. You don't want to end up on one of those tattoo disaster websites or shows... unless you want to.

The book has had one owner, me, and looks brand new. Very sturdy. Would make an excellent brick for the book cabin you're making, although I would prefer you read it.
