The listing, Chili Peppers & Concho Button Covers & Earrings has ended.
Here is a new western set, that has suffered from storage. It looks like one chili pepper is missing and most of the others have bits of color popped off. These would make a cute project for someone. Earring conchos have Native American and Western symbols stamped into them, earrings are angled squares, while the three button covers are shaped like cactus, thunderbird, and angled square.
About the piece;
Several years ago, I bought a hat box full of handmade Native American jewelry and items. The initials on some of the pieces is "DAL", I think. I can tell you that the family were of Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribe, but unfortunately, I do not remember the name. I know they set up at a lot of Pow Wow's and fairs in the area, and as far north as the great lakes. I forgot about the box until I was spring cleaning my closets. From the looks of the items, a lot are straight from the 80's, so I am dating all of the pieces from there.
