No, cd was with it when I purchased it. Ive only used it once and it did not require a cd for installation it installed itself.

This adapter provides a wireless connection thru usb of computers, tablets etc. That dont have wireless internet installed.

it was actually a sony vaio that had vista...the vaio didnt have wireless so i used the adapter so i could connect thru wifi
