The movie is based on "The Outsiders," a coming-of-age novel by S. E. Hinton that was originally published in 1967 by Viking Press.
Summary -- The film follows two rival groups, the Greasers and the Socs (short for Socials), who are divided by their socioeconomic status.

This is a previously owned/viewed DVD in wonderful condition. Both DVDs are shiny mirror clean and free of scratches.

Trivia:
S.E. Hinton wrote the original story when she was sixteen years old.
Emilio Estevez and Tom Cruise were childhood friends before the film and showed up to the audition together. Both received starring roles.
