The listing, Oriental Poppy Papaver orientalis: perennial has ended.
Offering 1/8 tsp Oriental Poppy seeds from my 2013 plants, these are tiny seeds, so even though it doesnt sound like a lot it is. It's best to sow these seeds in a tray of compost and keep warm and moist. As with all poppies, the seed is very small and must only be sown on the surface, but keep the light from the seed by laying a sheet of newspapaer over the compost once you have spread the seed. The seedlings should germinate within a couple of weeks if it's warm enough, but give them longer before you give up; Sow the seed thinly because you are going to have to ***** out the seedlings into bigger pots once the seedlings have reached a reasonable size. Once you have a plant that has a well established root system, which will probably take one growing season, plant out in autumn whilst the soil is still warm, or in spring after the heavy frosts are over. Choose a place that is well drained with nutrient rich soil, in full sun or partial shade. These are very hardy plants, and mine usualy remain green all winter long with leaf cover (zone 5). They are hardy in USDA Zone 3-8
