YES washable.. I have washed them a couple of times.. They are very cute and soft.

These are cute, but they should never be used in a car seat. They will actually make the straps looser than they need to be. In a crash, these strap covers will compress, causing extra room between the baby and the harness, which the baby may come out of. Using these or any other after market products will actually void the warranty of your car seat. You should only use strap covers if your car seat came with them.
These are great to use in strollers, though. =]
