Spain 1 Peseta Coin. 1966. Actual date 1973. Spain uses a very different system for the date on many of their coins. On this coin, the date of 1966 (date Spain approved the design) appears on the obverse side of the coin, BUT the actual mint date appears on the reverse side inside of the two stars on both sides of the word "UNA" (19 in the star on the left and 73 in the star on the right). So get yourself a strong magnifier and check it out!
This design is reportedly used from 1967-1975.
