RELISTED ITEM

IBM Laptop Memory Stick

Originally had this listed as Laptop Memory, not sure of the actual size (thought it was 256MB or KB). I have been told different things about this item. Some say its a IBM 256kb Cache (EDO) Memory and others say its regular IBM laptop memory.

I am being honest and up front that I am uncertain what this memory is.

All I do know is what is on the label..

IBM
11S40H8145ZJ10CJ73BOAK FRU: 07H1150
2MB NS 32K x 64 3.3V 66M
WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED
OPT: SON 703

If someone recognizes this type of memory.. go for it.. I lowered the opening bit to 1 credit. I hope it finds a new home.

Again, I have been told different things from different people. 1. That it is IBM 256kb Cache (EDO) memory and would be a good find for someone looking to rebuild a vintage IBM Desktop computer (Windows 3.1.1 and Windows 95). 2. That it is regular laptop memory, possibly for a Windows XP thinkpad laptop. and 3. My original posting was that it was laptop memory that I could swear came out of a Dell Windows XP Laptop.(Ive never owned a thinkpad laptop).

This memory is not tested. If it is indeed out of the laptop I believe it to be from, it was functioning normal. (the issue with the laptop was the screen, so I stripped the laptop of parts).

If anyone knows what this item really is, I welcome input and advice. BUT any harsh or abrupt comments will be hidden and you will be BLOCKED. I don't welcome rudeness.

This is definately cache memory, 256 Kb to give those old P-54s and K-5s some high speed cache to work with. I'm bidding.

Its old half-speed cache, so to find it in a laptop would be strange indeed. The port disappeared by 97' to make people by a better cpu instead of patching it up with things like adding cache or overclocking.

I really cant. I factored into the cost not just what it costs for shipping but also packaging materials, tracking, etc.
