With the screw driver part out, will the black case close all the way?

Yes, the case snaps tightly closed with the driver-holder extended, and won't come open unexpectantly! Good luck if you decide to bid!

I actually have 2 already, but mine don't seem to snap closed. Thanks for the information. Neat item though.

extend the bit-holder; close case until you encounter resistance; using both thumbs, carefully align the top of the case so that it fits the extended shaft of the bit-holder and press evenly and FIRMLY with both thumbs until the top case snaps firmly shut around the shaft of the bit-holder. This should solve your problem. If not, we'll attack it from a different direction. Thanks for contacting me when you encountered difficulty rather than posting a dispute, I appreciate that, and will work diligenltly to fix your problem. The key is to line up the top case so it easily slips over the shaft, and to be FIRM when pressing with the thumbs, it SNAPS together firmly, and does require some pressure, but if it's nor properly aligned, ther's a chance the case can break. Good luck, and let me know...
Blessed be,
Victor

I worked with them a little bit and finally got them to close. Took some work though.

Well, they're designed to operate on close tolerances, with precisely cut parts for a tight fit and sturdy usage, but they are, in the end, made of sturdy plastic, not steel, and sometimes need a bit of urging to become accustomed to doing their duty properly. I'm sure that now, you've gotten it to fit the way it was intended, you'll have no further difficulty with it...it's worn down the tight edge that had previously prevented it's good fit, and now it should fit fine. Let me know if you have further difficulties.
Blessed be,
Victor

Yeah, that seems to be the common consensus...I never would have guessed how popular they've been! When 1st I offered them on Listia, I was offering them by the retail card- a dozen keychain toolkits on a display card for selling on a counter or something. I had a heck of a time getting ANYONE to bid! Now that I've split them into singles, people can't get enough of the, and they pay more for 1 than they were offering for 12 then! LOL, folks are funny, aren't they?...
Blessed be, and good luck if you bid! I have lots of these, so let me know if you have a hard time winning 1--I can set you up a GIN...
