Description

The listing, Large Apache Tear and Tiger Eye Gemstones :-) has ended.

You will receive a rough Apache tear and Large Tiger Eye if you win my auction. Both Stones are large and perfect for wire wrapping projects.I've included measurements so you can see the size of both of them. The rough Apache tear looks black until you hold it up to light. That's when you see the real beauty of this gemstone. If this stone is polished, it turns a shiny black with orange highlights where the light hits it! Thanks for checking out my auctions and if you comment, I will check out what you have listed. Good Luck All :-)

Lol, You can't know for sure but it's named for its resemblance to a tigers eye with the gold and brown coloring. It's also said to promote laughter and a sense of humor.:-)

I did mostly hand cut and polished cabachons on a flat lap and it is really awesome and fun to do. I just recently learned to drill stones and I make unpolished river rock jewelry. That is fun too.

New stone for me to learn of, would like one when I get some credits saved up. Unless you have a smaller one(GIN) I could start with. Bench Jeweler, Silversmith. You can watch Jewelry TV's Jewel School Videos on their web site, they sell a Jewel Tool, grinding, polishing, quite, safe, quick. $400-$1000 packages. Watching and am a Fan.

I have one I'm going to list on Wednesday with a rose quartz gemstone and an arrowhead as a ten day auction if your interested. Thanks for the info and I do have a polisher and various small tools but am interested in bringing out the beauty of rough stones. Have a nice week! :-)
