FREE: Vintage 2-Strand Bead Necklace

Vintage orange bead, 2-strand necklace, marked Hong Kong. I believe this necklace dates from the early 1960's - this is another of my grandmother's unusual necklaces.

The beads are not glass and I'm assuming they are some kind of plastic. The "flame" pattern beads have a texture to them. I do not know if the gold bead caps are real gold, but the leaves are very delicate and can be easily bent.

This beautiful necklace is made up of several bead styles and shapes. The larger center beads are framed with beautiful gold leaf caps. These larger beads look almost like flames and the leaves are so detailed, you can see the veins. Orange striped round beads are splashed with gold-brown "splatters". There are also faceted clear orange beads. The beads are all a rich, warm orange - none are discolored or damaged. All beads are separated by tiny gold beads.

Pictures 5 & 6 are closest to the actual color of the necklace.

The shortest strand is 18" from the tip of the hook to the end of the extender. It's about 12-1/2" bead-to-bead. The extender itself is about 2-1/2" long.

The necklace is sold "as is" - it is in very good condition and beautiful! Please look at all the pics to see the details. I always recommend having vintage beads re-strung just to be sure.
