Description

The listing, 3 Skeins Ruffle Yarn has ended.

Hello, Listians! I went a little crazy in my favorite thrift store a couple of weeks back, when I found a lot of nice yarn, not just the acrylic stuff I expected. I walked out with 4 over-sized bags stuffed with yarn! The Family is giving me "The Look", since I was supposed to be reducing my stash, so I am offering some of my "spoils of war" to you.

This Auction is for three skeins of what I believe is Red Heart Brand Boutique Sashay Yarn in the color "Rumba". There were no labels on the skeins when I purchased them. Because they came from a thrift store, I have no Idea how thee had been stored or the environment they were in prior to my purchase. I did weigh each skein to verify they are all unused. The Following Information Is from The Red Heart website:
Yarn Line: Boutique Sashay
Yarn Id: E782
Color Id: 1934
Fiber Content: 97% Acrylic, 3% Other Fibers
Skein Weight: 3.5oz (100 g) ball
Yardage: 30 yd (27 m) per ball
Crochet Hook: 6 mm (J-10) hook
Knitting Needles: 5.5mm (9 US) needles
Crochet Gauge: 8 SC x 11 R = 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm)
Knitting Gauge: 16 S x 10 R = 4" x 4”(10 cm x 10 cm)
Care Instructions: Hand wash gently in cold water (86 F/30 C), lay flat to dry. Do not bleach or iron. May be dry cleaned, solvent P.

I have always been curious about this yarn and when I have asked people have always said "Oh, it's so fast and easy!" or words to that effect. Well, not for this person. The skein that is rolled into a ball is the one I tried to work with.

I love making ruffle scarves out of this. Were you working it by hand or with a loom?

Hand knitting. Couldn't get the hang of knitting with the yarn while trying to open it up to get to the holes. I can see where it might be easier with a loom, but I don't have one and don't plan on getting one.

Unfortunately, my g-ma never got around to teaching me to crochet, and my mom only knits. Thanks for watching!

Ah yeah hand knitting is harder. I use it on the loom.
