This pendant is wonderful! Unfortunately the camera was unable to capture the beautiful green tones in this necklace! This pendant is removable and the collared choker is rigid and sits nicely against the collarbone.

I honestly have no idea. Liability Sophia jewelry is high quality costume jewelry. They may still sell this so maybe it will have more info on their website. I'll see if I can find out. :-)

Here's the description for the necklace from the lia sophia site: A 15-16" silver collar necklace is the starting point for creating your own style. Choose a few lia sophia pendant slides and you'll have an accessory that looks different every time. So it doesn't sound to me like it is, plus there are no markings. I can tell you that I've had it in my jewelry box for a long time and it has not tarnished. So it is a quality metal. Hope that helps.

To snm47 -- I looked at the site (sorry this has been the first time I've had computer access, I usually use my phone -- hence the "Liability Sophia" lol. Anyway, this particular piece is no longer in their collection but other pieces with abalone are listed as "genuine abalone". Hope that helps!
