Description

The listing, 2 Postcards of Steam Engines has ended.

The power of steam. Passenger excursions through the picturesque countryside of Bucks County depart from New Hope station on the New Hope & Iceland Railroad throughout the season. Shown here is a Baldwin stream engine, a 2-8-0 Consolidation built in 1925, streaming up a hill on the line.

The second postcard is the same engine, #40, crossing a trestle over Aquetong Creek. This engine was built in 1925 by the Baldwin locative works in Philadelphia, the engine was restored in 1991 and is still in operation after 72 years.

Size about 5 3/4" x 4 1/8".
