It's not hard, it could be folded but I DO NOT FOLD my painting when I mail them. They come in a large orange/yellow colored envelope. I usually include some kind of thank you note and contact info in case there is a problem with my work.

It's canvas paper; appearance and texture or canvas, but flat.

so a flat canvas? Like it can't be folded? As a hard backing? Only asking because last "Painting" I bought on here was folding in an envelope when it arrived. Which made it pretty useless to display. I love the vivid colors on this.
