I'm doing some spring cleaning and came across some lace that my granddaughter bought when making table decorations for her wedding. It's a really pretty ivory lace with ivory ribbon woven through the top (bought that way). She hot glued the ends of each piece and it was slipped over the top of a mason jar that held colored stone and her floating candles. It was a really pretty decoration, especially the with the pleating in the lace.

There are 8 pieces of lace, each approximately 9 inches by 4 inches. I know it was kind of expensive lace (to me if it's over $1 a yard it's expensive!), and most definitely too pretty to just throw out, so I'm offering it here for someone who might find a use for it in their sewing or craft projects.

She used the quart mason jars. They filled them about 1/4 full with aquarium stone and added water to a couple inches above the stone. She then used heart-shaped floating candles. The lace ended just high enough for the candles to be seen. They made really cute table decorations.

can you tell me what size mason jars she used for these. My son and his fiancé are getting married in June and she is wearing ivory. These would be perfect. Any information you could give me on the jars and the floating candles would be great. F&W
