The listing, Blackberry Curve 8520 Smartphone With Extras has ended.

This auction is for 21 days so that every one has time to build up their credits.
There is the get it now option if you do not want to wait until the auction ends.

This auction is for the following items:
1) Black T-Mobile Blackberry Curve 8520 Smartphone ( Price when I got it: $399.99 + tax)
2) A Black GRIFFIN hard cover case with a leather look back ( price when I got it : $14.99)
3) T-Mobile pre-paid sim card (price paid $6.99 from T-Mobile.com)
4) A cute purple rosary charm to hang from you new phone( it is hand made with lite purple beads and a silver toned cross with a heart in the middle instead of a crucifix)
The phone does have 2 small blemishes. The 1st is on the bottom left corner and the 2nd is on the right top hand corner. Also on the top of the phone there is a rubber piece for using the mp3 which is a little worn but still works.
The Shipping for this auction is $9.00 which will include the flat rate box shipping, the cost of and insurance.
As this is an auction for merchandise valued at over $300.00 I am requiring the win to get insurance and confirmation.

That's a nice gesture but the phone is pretty beat up by looking at the pictures. The screen has so many little scratches and it's pretty ruff around the edges. I doubt anyone would bid 25,000 credits... Sorry! You will probably get alot of credits but not that much. I think if you did offer free shipping you could get between 10,000 - 15,000 credits because of the condition of the phone. I've seen ones similar to this condition go for about that. But I don't know what anyone would bid seeing as they have to pay $15 for shipping. GOOD LUCK THOUGH! I hope you get lots of credits because Blackberrys are really nice phones.

Well here's a cheaper solution: Flat rate box is free. You can use old magazine or newspaper pages to pack the box. No need to buy any bubble wrap. I don't need a signature confirmation, DC will work fine and will cover you. I don't need insurance. Wow, you charge $4.50 for travel??? That's beyond a whole tank of gas. This seems a little too padded for me. Your not really allowed to use Listia to make money but you are allowed to charge a reasonable "handling" fee per there rules.

Flat rate box $5.20
Delivery confirmation: 0.70c
Handling fee: $4.50
Total = $10.40

$10.40 is better than $15 but I honestly wouldn't want to pay it.

I will definitely be watching though.

As for not wanting to pay that much for shipping you don't seem to be the only one.
The economy is in the toilet and every one is having it ruff right now.
I would love to offer free shipping, but can't really afford to right now.
I am thinking about doing half shipping if credits go over 25,000 though and maybe free shipping if credits go over 45,000.

"why cant we be friends... But then you know how some people are they go have their friends go and make rude comments on the auction.

I think your idea is stupid and just plain old dumb. LOL (yes im kidding) I like the idea.. I have a feeling since there is shipping even if it was $.44 any shipping at all will net you about 10%-20% of the credits you would get if you had free shipping. People see shipping and some dont have paypal accounts and some just want everything to be free (thats their choice). So the idea is nice and all but I have a strange feeling this will get to about 1,000-2,000 max credits just because the shipping will scare many away.

Ya I know free shipping is what every one loves, cause I know I sure do.
I would love to be able to offer free shipping on all my auctions, but can't always afford to, with my job not paying that much to began with and then with trying to get my baby girl back and having to buy stuff for her I just don't always have the extra cash to cover it.
I just wish more people were like you and understood that money doesn't grow on trees and I can't just go out side and pick the shipping money off a tree.
Although I wish I could, but then again I would have a pretty naked tree cause I would be out there collecting every day.LOL
I guess we will just have to wait and see how work and tips go for the next 3-4 days, if it goes well I just may offer free shipping.

i am going to take $1.00 off the shipping for every 1000 credits bid, so there is now a possibility for free shipping for few credits

It may have cost you $400+ but it is not in $400 condition. YOUR PICTURES SPEAK FOR THEM SELVES. That is a lot of damage! Sorry you can't accept that. I don't think I should get this phone cheap! What you don't understand is 10,000 credits is alot!! I have to auction off alot of stuff and pay ALOT to ship it all to get that many credits. So 10,000 - 15,000 credits is not cheap. You should know what that is.
You know to only get like 200 - 300 and then have to come out of your own pocket for the shipping too. That isn't really worth it then is it?

Great auction! And for all these people complaining about the cost of shipping, I have been selling on Auction sites for nearly 10 YEARS! Us sellers know the price of not only shipping, but being aware of "scammers" so we are "forced" to pay for that extra confirmation fee, insurance fee, flat rate shipping....!
I understand Listia deals mainly with FREE items, however asking for a few dollars for shipping for an item your basically recieveing for FREE anyhow is not unreasonable. Cheaper than Ebay or other auctions sites. Just saying- I wish people understood the cost of shipping, especially these days. Its not cheap! :(

Yes you can suff the web, you can even do so well listening to the mp3 player if you have an micro sd card of course
I am not to sure but I know a friend of mine has a black berry and he bought a sim unlock sim card and he is using his phone now with a different carrier then the phone was for.
It should, but I can not say for sure as I have never been out side of the us with or with out the phone. LOL

I don't normally comment on stuff like this but I wanted to! ha ha I think you have been up front about the phone and anything someone might have issues with as far as scratches, dings, worn areas. You've put up great pictures to even show the areas you listed in your auction. I'm sorry people aren't happy with how you've done things. I think you've went above and beyond compared to some people who list. I think $9 is pretty decent for shipping considering the winner will be paying with credits and actual money for shipping which is a small price to pay compared to what it would cost to pay for a new phone. Unfortunately I have the money and I have the credit, but no paypal and I would never feel secure with money orders. I hope I can have a paypal account set up before this auction's end. Hey....I like your phone and I have t mobile. I know times are tough and they are for everyone. I don't see a problem with $15 for shipping plus you lowered it to $9 flat rate. As i bid, and if I will it I would send you the $15 regardless for the principle of the matter and to stick our thumbs in the noses of those who think otherwise sweetie. People are just looking out for themselves and always want something for nothing! There are alot of people who have no clue how to earn things honestly. They have to try to take advantage of others.
