heat treated/ heat seal the ribbon. I use open flame to melt the ends so they don't fray. Is that how you do it? Some people use candles or lighters or fray-check. Myself I use the flame.

oh and some use wood burning tools. but not me I would prolly get to carried away and burn the heck out of the ribbon. lol
