Is this on a bobbypin? Or would it be suitable for toddlers?

It's on an alligator clip and the diameter is probably close to 4" so I guess (since I don't have any little ones) if her hair is thicker and it wouldn't tug too much (since it clips closed tight for thick hair like mine) then it would work!

Either way - if it didn't work out now I'm sure by the time she gets about 3-5 years old she would have enough hair for it to work out so it could be the surprise pre-school gift later down the road!!

Or - treat yourself if it doesn't work out!! I think it is sturdy enough for play time though, but it does have a pin to wear as a brooch attached fairly well to it as well so you may want to keep that in mind... if you got it you would probably have to use a wire snip and clip off the pin.
