Description

The listing, Impressive 1898 Morgan Silver Dollar has ended.

Up for auction is a beautiful example of the 1898 Morgan silver dollar. This coin was minted in Philadelphia about 115 years ago.

This coins shows some toning which is normal for coins of that era but has yet to get the rainbow affect that the MS coins show which in my mind makes it AU but shows little wear on the major high points. This coin has been well looked after by three generations of my family and I'm ready to pass it on to someone in this community who will love it the way my family did.

Please not I am not a professional grader but I've been around coins and currency my whole life so I like to think my educated guesses are fairly accurate. Please use your own judgement though.

All questions and comments are welcome and shipping is FREE! All listia rules apply so please help me find this piece of history a great home. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully bid.

If you would like to make a GIN offer please send me a message as I like to make deals :)

Very nice coin I wish I had enough credits to get this gem. F&W. I'm trying to build up my collection so I have something of value to leave to my kids. Very beautiful coin.

Fanned you back, that's what my grandfather did for me but he was a generous man and would have loved this site if he was still around. I'm not going to have kids so basically the collection ends with me lol. I am still collecting but like to give back to people trying to build a collection as well. There is plenty of time to build up a stock pile of credits or wait till my next one I usually put up a few a month :)

Sounds like you're grandfather was a wise man. My mother had a really nice collection she inherited from her father but because of siblings with sticky fingers, she no longer has them. So ya if you have more, I'll definitely save up to get one from you. Thanks again God bless.

I'll be listing a few more soon, the best way to save is through gift cards they seem to be commanding large credit values right now. You probably have time to save up for this or the next one I'm not sure what it will be but it's going to be a Morgan lol

Thanks I just got a ten dollar star note today from Jack in the box of all places. I'm thinking about listing it, not sure lol so much of me wants to keep it. Hopefully by the end of this auction we'll be talking again.

Keep it and use another 10 to put into a gift card or something. You never want to list something that you would end up regretting later. Trust me I sold a 1909-S Indian head to a dealer and have always regretted it so if you want to collect currency then keep it.

Very true I definitely would regret it. Thanks. And thanks for the tip on the gift cards.
