Description
The listing, Motorola SURFboard Cable Modem has ended.
Brand new Motorola Cable Modem purchased from Wal-Mart when we thought our old modem had quit working. It didn't, however, and never used this one. Now we have DSL anyway.
I can't find the box and unfortunately the box contains the A/C adapter. You will have to go out and purchase a new adapter for this which will be easy enough. To help make up for this minor detail, however, I am throwing in a new 14ft. Cat6 cable with the deal plus free shipping.
Questions & Comments
I have an arris modem and was wondering if I got one of these if it would help my laggy unstable connection
It says 12V and .75A...I tried to use an adapter from a Cisco cable modem (listed soon) but it was too large to fit into this Motorola. They sell it on eBay for $4.99 and free shipping at this link:
depends on ur isp and if the cable itself is fairly new. also new technology or upgrades to help but not always. if it is happwning dueing rain snow and wind time frames nothing can really be done. even upgrading to a new modem. well time warner seems to be pretty steady on speeds during the day or night.
wow someone that offers more than 100mbps that isn't time warner. they offer up to 100mb to res and commercial. if you look up the model # it may tell you details on the modem - http://www.cnet.com/products/motorola-surfboard-sb6121/
Yeah, lol, Mediacom claims to offer that speed but I've rarely seen a speed test over 30 and during high usage yer lucky to hit 12. Now I use good old DSL... only 12mbps but consistent.
