This is an original pin offered by the Gulf Oil Company (BP) as a special promotion during the 1964 Presidential election cycle between Barry Goldwater (Rep) and Lyndon Johnson (Dem). This less than 1" pin is the Democratic Party mascot donkey in a gold tone metal, super condition. I can attest to the authenticity since my Dad received these while I was with him at the Gulf service stations of the day.
