Thank you for the encouragement. Someone asked if I could do a GIN on an auction already up, they didn't bid, and more 'smack' about stuff being real gold and real gems. I can't jump through hoops to make everyone happy, no way to prove items on a website are actual, real as listed, and to pull this shady dealings to keep prices low or warn others away, to keep for themselves. I don't play childish or greedy games, never have. I can not justify wasting time on this. I am truly sorry for these few, they will miss much joy in life having the attitudes displayed.

I will get a scan of the back so you all can rest the gray cells as to whether this is -real- GOLD. I could also dig out the invoice where I bought the GEMs, still it will be my word, till you have it in your hand and have a Gemologist test the Gem for $50. Anyone can purchase the tool stamps and hit a mark into metal. No way can the metal purity be proven to anyone here. My scanner jiggles, this is why the pic is kind of blury. I will post the other pic of the markings and enlarge and crop as I did for the one pic already here. It is a fine gem, and I set it in Gold for that reason. If I were to have all my GEMs certified on paper by my Gemologist, I would then pass that price along to recover the cost of your doubt. You need to weigh your options, and act according to your own needs. I still charge $2.00 for a simple repair if I don't need to buy parts. Offer free cleanings, health checks(loose stones, wear, ect.), a silver chain is $10, Gold Chains (what I paid for them). I am retired and keep my hands busy doing what I love and the cost is kept low for the customers I serve, need the break, need the service, and appreciate the Professional Service I provide. Please wrap your head around this and continue as you see fit. Thank you for the interest. This was my second job, setting a gem, in 2007.

thanks, there is a new source of chrome diopside, but those gems lack this intense healthy green. I have sold a lot of 8-6x4 gems for $40.00,so someone could make a bracelet, necklace and ring jewelry suite. If you don't wish to invest in Colombian Emeralds (I have three large), this is the gem of choice for Christmas Holiday wear, and a May Birthstone stand in. Since this was mined in Siberia, at a time when it was the only source, you know the quality, the clarity, and you can visually see these represented, so can anyone who see;s you wearing this. Stay tuned, I will be getting busy again this weekend listing some more items.

Love your auctions - they do only go up a credit or so at a time unless someone bid high and got outbid by another higher bidder. I know the value of this stone and I appreciate that you are offering such a an uncommon gem here on Listia! You do amazing work! I will be keeping an eye on your auctions!

Thank you, my designs in Precious Metal Clay, inlaid with gems and silver cut work, will not be sold here but may be in view at times as back drop of interest on other auctions. What I like about the Russian Chrome is it's instant identity, it doesn't want to be an emerald, it is perfectly unique as itself. If you haven't heard, the Tanzanite Mine is played out, one generation gem. Grab any AAA or AA, gems you can find, clear even color, large or smaller matched sets. These are investment gems, in a year, trade up to a AAAA if you can find one then hold on till 40 yrs has past. Retire in style and do what you love, or do your love....

Yes they are coming out of the woodwork. Some are sniffing the air, others are just plain drooling. Wish they would let the moth's out of their coin purses. Hey, don't get mad, I am poking fun, not hate or disrespect. Chill. If this does not do well, I just won't be putting my stuff up. I will pass along the barrel scrapings, pot metal, plastic twinkles and glass beads. I have seen a lot of very nice items, that folks have designed and expressed their creativity in. I even missed winning an item as I was engrossed in some details a very crafty person used. I take notes. I know this will take time, I can be patient, I do appreciate folks looking, thrilled at all of you fanning me, and have spread myself thin getting those calling cards returned. My day is done, night shift at the Bench will begin at 9p. Silver Smithing. Laundry's done// upstairs neighbor's outside WINDOW's tomorrow. She's not that mechanically minded, and hey I like doing window's for Sister's.

I love natural emeralds. (Green eyes) They are hard to come by. I think the setting on this pendant is unique and would love to see the larger stones you referred to. Also rings, bracelets earrings and chains . Seriously interested buyer, here.
Please don't allow yourself to become discouraged or jaded by others' silly games- most of us are honest... Yes, there are a few rotten apples, for sure. These ladies are right; most tend to bid at the last minute, or do not bid right away because their credits are tied up. Take heart, my friend!
Fanned you. :)

Would never consider putting my Columbians up at auction on here/.I will be moving some older items, but am not in a rush, never have been. I am a SilverSmith, not a machine that cranks out 20 pieces a week to satisfy the masses. I only refer to other items in a hope to be taken seriously, and not grouped with the lot who string plastic beads and call it 'jewelry'. I am not a snob, and know My Budget use to only have room for those beads also. Some just act sooo ditzy, playing they are dumb or confused. Never met a woman who didn't recognise a good piece of jewelry. But they seemed to have picked up some bad trading/bartering habits from daddy. They need to learn the good habits before the sh#* hits the fan and we have to barter for dinner cause there isn't a thing in any store, or they can go like in New Orleans. There is no excuse for anyone in America to pull another 'Katrina". This is where they COULD learn.

6mm by 4mm is not a large gem, but for this type of gem with chromium in it's chemical makeup from mother nature, they do not grow very large./ this is average. This is a heavy double basket, and stays centered. The large bail will even accept an omega up to 3.5mm, maybe 4.

Not sure we are having the same kind of 'block party' or VIP invites. We usually let anyone wonder on over and if they have a bad attitude...well, some of the dudes give FREE Attitude Adjustments. If I respond to any deviant comments, it is to clarify info for the true honest consumer who really is interested in quality merchandise.

I do have two tanzanites, a yellow diamond and a red beryl - hoping those are enough to help me retire - but that's only 15 or so years away. I also have a matched set of this stone - but only rounds. this added to the rounds, I could have a nice set. thanks for the info!

always be looking to up the quality of the gems you invest in. Larger is nice, but the money rolls in faster for higher grade gems. Tanzanites are only mined in one place in Africa, they are already not pulling up any more AAAA, and the major companies selling jewelry have dropped this classification. They may have a few in the Vault Collection, but you will pay a premium. Private/Other Owners Estate Sales are a better bet to acquire a higher grade gem, make sure to have the gem evaluated by a certified gemologist, most major jewelry only stores have one on staff and will cost you $50, but you will know what you are buying and have insured for the right amount, keep them all in a bank safe deposit box and protect them from rapid temp changes when they may crack, air conditioning to summer outside, winter cold to heated car...Let your Favorite Local Jeweler know you are activly looking for these gems for investment, he will see many more in a week than you, and pre sort them, weeding out unworthy gems.

I love aquamarine. Do you have any? Do you recommend any online stores for buying lose gems?

I appreciate your honesty, knowledge and quirky sense of humor. With so much misinformation going around, it's nice to see someone who does know what she's talking about.

I never thought about buying gems for investment. Other than rare untreated stones in very large sizes, I don't see stones selling for a profit. The stones that you refer to (AAA) sell for thousands.

yes i have many, different sizes and shapes. jewelry tv.com or jewelry television sells loose gems and everything else needed by the jeweler. Their web site has loose gems, but I suggest a book on gems first to learn the qualities you need to spot in order to buy effectively. Buy quality over size. Buy many smaller gems, which people can use for sets of jewelry. I buy lots of +100 CT mixed loose gems, sort and test them. A Pawn Broker or local Jeweler can help at first when you have questions on a gem and it;s worth. Thousands are for mounted gems, with diamonds and for profit to keep their lights on and pay the salaries and TV Show Air Time, web site cost, ect. That is what you are paying for, not just the gem. You can also buy at the Pawn brokers and other places like here, eBay, Amazon.

I AM NOT going to take this personally. A gem they can only dig up 8 weeks of the year, the ground is so frozen, gold and a diamond/small yes; but 3 credits is the bid. Honestly, I may pick up my marbles and go home

Lose gems that are untreated and have great color saturation, size, cut and clarity do sell for thousands, even at a regular jewelry store or Ebay. I'm talking about untreated stones though. Almost every stone in the market right now is treated in some way.
