5 Paise was HUGE when i was a child of 5+.
It was my Daily Allowance... raised to a princely Rs.3/-
per month when i turned 6.
But, of course, the coin you see in the picture [1988 ] was
not enough to buy anything but the lowliest "candy".

No wonder, it was retired soon after.
