I do decoupage. Do you think that I could use these on some of my projects with any success? Or would it just be a mess?

Actually, the secret is in the ink. There's water based ink, alcohol based ink, and permanent ink. If you use this with a permanent ink, it'd be easy! Use archieval or staz-on inks if you want permanent ink. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised that you can even stamp on top of something that's already dried and glossed using the permanent inks! You can use permanent inks underneath too and they shouldn't run. But, I'd personally stick with those two brands. If you use water based inks (the majority of stamp pads are water based), then you can easily have a mess. And, you can use staz-on stamp cleaner immediately after using the stamp, and it won't stain your stamp images too badly. Once stamps have been used, they don't always clean up well. Some people even use diaper wipes! You can also use inks on embossing folder images and then decoupage over them. That will give you a different look while decoupaging. I may sound like an expert, but I guarantee you that I'm not! So, always ask a professional! I'm just speaking from experience.

that sounds fantastic! I'm always looking to go up to the next level in my decoupage work, I've experimented a lot in tinting the glue before applying it(I use food coloring believe it or not)and I've had fantastic results. I get a very translucent effect and I'd love to work with another new technique too!

You are welcome! Also, try using coffee filters and put some food coloring on them. Then, try stamping on top of that!
