i have a beautiful vintage brooch / pin i purchased a lot of vintage costume jewelry on here(listia). as i was going through the stuff i notice 2 pieces that didnt look like costume jewelry. i took them to the jewelry store that i do business with and she said this one piece was 12k and was probably made in the late 60's or early 70's . it is a mother's pin. you keep adding colors as you have children and grandchildren. at the top is double hearts which i think is so sweet.i thought it was unique. 12k is stamped on the back. it has a thick shank.the stones are different kinds. thank you for looking , good luck bidding. please ask if you have any questions.

the brooch is real 12k gold, not filled. i have had it checked where i have my jewelry repaired and where i buy from. i trust them, i have been knowing them for many,many yrs. i have fanned you if you like my auctions please fan me also.

thanks, you are so right. i could sell it at the jewelry store for just the gold. but it is too. pretty to melt down , some pieces do not deserve to be sold and melted. i believe this is one. that is why i decided to put it her. i knew someone would get it to appreciate it.

I have one a lot like this and the colored stones are birth stones. I don't know if real or not, I haven't had them checked. Do you know who the maker is? I won mine on Listia an love it. This is pretty too!! I'm watching and may bid later. Love it!!
