could you please look on the back of the envelope to see if brocade is suitable----or if you think it would be....think its brocade I have anyhow...its the material where flowers or whatever is embroidered into the material....I have like 6 yards of this material & looking for a dress pattern to use material with

to nutzy . . . i think you are describing your material correctly. it sounds like brocade.
this pattern also calls for light woven fabrics like silk, cotton and shantung. i think you need a more structured style for your fabric. but don't worry, i am going to be listing a WHOLE LOT of patterns, so you're sure to find something..
