The listing, very old sewing basket has ended.

A estate find ,I found this sewing basket many years ago at a estate sale it looks ok for as old as it is the one picture shows the webbing broken off,but no damage to the frame

I am just starting out with finding antique items. I have always been a lover of them! I have great respect for hand crafted items that have such a strong and beautiful craftsmanship to withstand YEARS of use and still look beautiful! How would I fix the broken area?

I have no idea,its fragile and I guess over the years the webbing just broke off I dont know what the webbing is it sort of looks like thin strips of bamboo at first I though it looked like dried straw lol I wish I could tell you but honestly I don't know ,I had it for 30 some years and the old woman died at the age of 90 in 1983 so that tells you it is OLD
