Hi! Can you tell me what this perfume smells like? Is it a fruity smell type, I'm needing some perfume for my daughter in law and she doesn't like anything that smells like vanilla or scents like that. I'm not up on all the perfumes out there. Thanks!

Hello, no vanilla its kinda of fruity. I'd say it I'd for sure a sweet scent. I think Abby lady would like this as a gift. :)

Actually, it is not fruity at all. I wear this as my signature perfume daily. Here is what I Googled about how it smells. An homage to Givenchy's early days when fashion and cinema were intertwined, Very Irrésistible Givenchy, unites the elegant tradition of French style with the energy and pop-culture pizzazz of American film. Bursting with roses and infused with star anise, and verbena leaf, Very Irrésistible Givenchy is a fresh departure from the traditional floral fragrance.

Centifolia Rose, Peony Rose, Fantasia Rose, Passion Rose, Emotion Rose, Verbena Leaf, Star Anise.

Also, I happened to notice that a sample of it is in InStyle May 2014 issue. About half way through the issue. Big, bold pink bottle. :) In my opinion, it does have a sweet scent but is not a sickening sweet, nor is it "loud" say like Red Door. I have always had compliments on it and have been wearing it for nearly 6 years.
