The listing, Genuine Garnet Gemstone Beads has ended.

This is 30 genuine Garnet Gemstone Beads that are a deep ruby red in color. (The pics do not do these stones justice! Not sure what is up with my camera tonite!) These stones will come loose in a small bag for shipping. Great for any jewelry making kit or for a special project.

Questions & Comments

Try taking your photos with NO flash, but use a desk lamp with a natural daylight color bulb that you can move around to create good light and color on your beads. Also, use a white background. Then you need to use some simple photo editing software to crop and brighten/sharpen the photos. That's how I get such good photos ... check out my listings.

My camera had a case of the stupid when I took these pics. Everything else came out great, just not the gemstones. I usually take photos outside in natural sunlight so it shows the true colors of the stones.

Natural sunlight can be tricky, but I love the daylight color bulbs, such as Reveal brand (and others) you can buy in the supermarket. The craft lamps are generally daylight color too, if you have one of those. With a little lamp you can move it around to change the light, shadow, sparkle, etc of your beads. Also, be sure to use the macro setting on your camera and play with the different light or "scene" settings to get the colors coming out right ... the colors change a LOT depending on your light source. Once you figure all this out, it's really very easy, but can be kind of frustrating during the learning curve!
