I only have 2 more batches of this, I'm planting the rest, so get it now!

This is TRUE Peppermint, and was VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND! It is a lovely plant, but can be invasive if planted in the wrong spot. VERY EASY TO GROW! I do have instructions on how to grow and make an easy Peppermint oil, as well as videos and much more info on my plant-site…see here:

https://www.facebook.com/SallysPlants

A note: Most of the following refers to peppermint OIL…my skin happens to be overly sensitive to the concentrated oil, so I just make a strong tea and use that for all of the below…works like a charm!

Medicinal Uses:
• Indigestion/flatulence
• Colds/Congestion
• Headache
• Stress
• Energy/Alertness
• Sore Muscles
This was the short-list, there are many more medicinal uses...

Other Uses:
• For bug bites, use a combination of peppermint essential oil and lavender essential oil to quickly dismiss the itch! It's really similar to the logic of using toothpaste or menthol cream, but without the messy paste. Remember to dilute with a carrier oil (not water) if you are sensitive to straight essential oil on your skin, or use a strong tea instead of oil.

• Add some peppermint oil to shampoo to treat dandruff.

• Cockroaches, mice, fleas, flies, lice, ants and spiders all hate peppermint! Once in a while, we just spread the leaves everywhere and leave them to dry for a couple of days. When we vacuum/sweep them up, they leave a lovely minty smell behind, that lasts for days.

• For tired aching feet, add a few drops to a foot bath for some relief of sore, swollen and overworked feet. Or, you can put it in a spray bottle to spritz those feet throughout the day!

• Give your trash can area a break and add a few drops to the bottom for a pleasant minty aroma.

F&W! Thanks for all the useful info! Can i ask a question? I see your big wine barrel full, did you use seed to grow that? I'm curious, because I bought a starter and I wonder if it has potential to get big like that.

Sorry, not my wine barrel. Mine, is down a hill by a water faucet, under the magnolia trees, in heavy shade. Couldn't get any good pics. But yes, it will get big and spread. It can take over large areas if you are not careful with it. A container is actually a really good idea. Fanned back!

I heard that you can't get true peppermint from seeds, because they're sterile or something?

Sorry, you heard wrong. There are a lot of HYBRID mints that MUST be taken from root or stem cuttings, as they will not grow true from seed...and using root stock is the best way to propagate them, although stem cuttings can also work. These seeds, do NOT come from HYBRID stock and are ORGANICALLY grown.

Hi, I am watching you and I fanned you....question? What if I live in a apartment building, can this grow INSIDE with only windowsill light? thanks

Peppermint, or any mint for that matter, will grow just about anywhere. Give it some good soil & keep it damp (not wet). Mine is very shaded, but it should do well in half a day of light. If one window doesn't work well, try another. Fanned you back.
