Description

The listing, Lacy Phacelia 50+ seeds has ended.

Hello and welcome to my Listia auction!

I have up for grabs at this time 50+ Lacy Phacelia seeds. These are just so pretty.

Lacy Phacelia is native to Southwestern US and Northern Mexico. They can be found all over the US now. It can be used as a cover crop, a bee crop, an attractant for other beneficial insects, and an ornamental plant.

The flowers open in sequence giving a long flowering season. Lacy Phacelia is a good insectary plant, attracting pollinators such as honey bees. They also attract hoverflies which are useful as biological pest control agents because they eat aphids and other pests.

Lacy Phacelia seeds will only germinate in darkness, but are very easy to grow.

Oh!! I see you have more to auction off. Of course I'll bid. Are they an annual or will they come back year after year? Good luck everyone.

They're an annual. But if some seeds manage to get into the dirt they will come up again the next year.

What zones are best for this?

They can grow anywhere between zones 3-11. They just need sun more than shaded areas

Takes between 12-30 days to germinate and I had blooms starting to show on mine in under 2 months

they are so pretty...i would bid ...but not sure because i don't want bees....

They don't draw in large numbers. Just if you have bees locally they are attracted to the flowers. I haven't noticed that many more than I see around my other flowers and flowering trees.
