I believe it is a cotton ~ did a burn test to check and it turned to ash

This did come from an estate sale so it smells musty from storage.
I have no idea if it has been around pets or smoke, but I am using lots of this fabric and don't notice any odors after washing, nor has anyone else mentioned any smells other than fabric softener when they get their quilt.
I DO have dogs that are not allowed in my sewing room

We are on a well, so I am unable to wash all of this before it is shipped
