The listing, Epiphone By Gibson Electric Guitar has ended.
Gibson electric guitar, I don't know much about guitars for I'm a piano player. The Gibson appears to have been well maintained. So, the Gibson is sold as is not sure if it works or does not.
Local Pickup is available and recommended. This application doesn't find my location, Atlanta, GA is a pretty big city not to find. My zip code is 30075.
Questions & Comments
It would be so nice if the post office put out a pay one price guitar box.
Wishing you all the best in this. Hope more people notice this by Thursday because you really deserve more than this is going for.
I actually make my own guitars so won't be bidding but definitely F&W. Stick with it and you'll do quite well here in Listia from what I've seen.
Best of luck to ya buddy.
B.t.w. I would advise against the removing the neck option. It does reduce the quality of the joint every time the screws are taken out and put back. Just the nature of wood. If your winner insists on that for the cheaper rate make sure you make it clear you can't be held responsible for a weak neck joint based on their reassembly. Being a luthier and guitar refinisher/relicer I have faced this situation many times in The past.
Thanks for the input, I prefer to send it in one piece anyways just because I don't know much about guitars. I will keep that in mind when the winner gets it. I did manage to get a box from a music shop to ship the guitar in, so I don't have to make some flimsy box. What does F&W mean?
Sorry it's a Epiphone not a Gibson .. it carrying a Gibson tag on the trusrod cover because Epiphone is owned by Gibson.. you should change your listing to Epiphone electric guitar
you may not want to hear this but, for what you have here, you should get over 50,000 credits even without paying for shipping. If you were to get more verified than you already are then you would. If not, then it is up in the air and you will have to take what is paid.
That would be awesome to get that many credits. I don't know anything about guitars. Pianos yes. Guitars no idea but everyone has been very helpful! More verified? Like Facebook? I don't do twitter.
Oh wow! It can be very costly to get those repaired. There's a blue book value guide online to let you know what the piano is worth if restored. Sometimes old pianos aren't worth much unless it was a famous maker, so it's not usually a good investment to restore them cause of the little return. If it is worth restoring it could cost 5k+ And you want to make sure they're certified to restore them cause the value is only based on full certification restoration. Usually you have to ship out the piano to be restored, or if you live in a large city like me there are some locally.
The thing is, you don't want to go over their magic number which is a combination of length, width, and height. if you do, the shipping cost like doubles via standard. AT that point, it's sometimes cheaper to go with priority.
They probably are, but holding back trying to be the winning sniper. I don't care for doing that myself, I bid all I am going to bid, then let it run. If it goes for more than I have or care to bid, so be it. People do not seem to realize the points have a monetary value. 3000 points equals ten bucks, but the way they bid, you'd sometimes think 3000 points was worth 3 cents.
I think very few bother to figure it out. 1500 costs five bucks, so ten bucks for 3000. So, at 15000, you're getting 50 bucks worth of points. However, the odd part is, since most don't bother to realize what the points are worth, they spend them like they're a penny a million or something.
wow, nice guitar, i I played anything besides harmonica I'd bis, but I'm tone deaf with tinitus in my ears from being a roadie with the Doobies & Yes, these people amaze with with the bizarre requests to take the guitar apart to save them $ on shipping..bunch of idiots in MY opinion...put $25. gas in your car, drive the a music store and try to buy a guitar like this for under $200. it can't be done...cheap skates indeed, if this doesn't go for 100,000 credits at least somehing is wrong with this site...God Bless you & yours!
Harmonicas are fun wish I had rhythm. I hope someone lists a digital piano so I can get enough credits to get that. That would be awesome. Like any equipment there's a risk of of damage to take apart. Since the music store was so kind to give me a box, I'll probably ship it out in one piece.
Very nice auction! I'll fan you and I am watching to see how well this does! (I think you should get way more than the 33,100plus the bidding get is at now and I hope you do! A lot of times for hot items like this one with so many watchers, there will be a 'bid war' at the very end. Good luck! :)
No, No, No, 3000 credits is NOT worth $10., that where the confusion on this site starts, from Listia asking price for credits, only an IDIOT would buy credits from LISTIA!!!! 1000 credits is valued at $.50-$1.00 that is it, thats why people bid high, a lot get credits for electronic downloads, IE: no postal costs, no labor, and such, or for instance 4 forever stamps[$2.00] will return 5000-7500 or more in credits, don't beleive check out the auctions for spendable commodities like stamps, silver coin, etc!!!! a silver dollar is worth $30. silver value TOPS [check ebay], YET it will bring in 60,000-100,000 credits...a dime worth $3. tops will return 15000 credits, so throw out any preconcieved notions of worth based on what credits are worth judging by what listia sells them for, that is NONSENSE! Like anything in life you have to go buy what commodities like silver, food, etc go for. I don't usually share this info with others as I am on here to make a profit as well as add some music to my personal collection, the guitar should sell for at LEAST 100,000 credits, no ifs, and, or buts, I just sold a $1. comic for 7000 credits, and a $5 record for 16.000 credits because there is no vinyl selection here and demand for vintage vinyl is high, so I actually do better here with popular vinyl the ebay, but the rare stuff won't sell here because their are no specialist collectors! You have to understand your various markets to be successful! I flip the credits usually to other obscure stuff I can take to my other auction sites & do pretty well here and meet a LOT of really nice people here like on FB!!! Thanks for such a beautiful offering, it will go real high the last 10 minutes, thats how bidding here works, God Bless you & yours! Vince L. [bubbasbooks on eBay!]
SO..total1121 a john deere cap is worth what $5. or so, yet you have a 10,000 bid on it, right there show that for $5.00 you should be able to buy 10.000 credits, NOT 1500 for $5.00, either you haven't figured this out yet OR, OR, OR you are giving this NEW seller bad info in hopes of SNIPING this guitar...not very nice, or just dumb on your part for not figuring it out. I see you do the e-book downloads also where you get credits cheap,...shame on you........
So according to what people are saying about me dismantling the guitar strings and neck? From the base to ship should cost around $25-28 to ship. If shipped in one piece, might cost more do to size of box ($45 estimate).
If you take the neck off, it should not be 45 to ship. The online calculator tries to sell you the higher priced shipping options. Most it should be is 35, if someone is fairly close it could be as low as 15 or so with the neck off to make a shorter package. With careful packaging, you might not go over the "magic number" that nearly doubles the shipping charges. However, making it a shorter package guarantees that. Sometimes, priority is actually less than standard. Why, I don't know. I've shipped dozens of guitars and basses, I have the routine down. Guitars can barely be under the limit whole if you don't add much to the length with the boxing. However, the way the headstock is made on this one, that's iffy. once in a while, it's actually cheaper to use UPS ground, tho not usually. When the packages get larger, then sometimes UPS ground comes in cheaper, if the weight isn't high. take the neck off, wrap it in bubble wrap, roll up the slack in the strings, then wrap neck and body in bubble wrap. Don't forget to put in the neck plate and screws. I like to tape the screws to the neck plate with either scotch tape or masking tape. Never ever let any tape touch the guitar itself, only the wrap you use. Foam cups can do for filling the voids in the box, so will crumpled paper, most anything light. I have used real popped popcorn, but with no butter or salt added. You want the bubble wrapped piece to fit in the box without moving around. If the box is odd shaped so that nothing can be put on top of it, so much the better. I've had guitars make it to me in one piece all the way from Israel in only a clear plastic bag, but how that happened is beyond my figuring.
