Hello and welcome to my Listia auction.I have up for grabs 10+ Pattypan squash seeds. Pattypan is an heirloom summer squash first grown by Native Americans. They have been depicted by a European settler as far back as 1591. This is still one of the best tasting and yielding varieties around today. They need to be planted in soil worked with compost or manure because they are heavy feeders.
Pattypan are great fried or baked. Another way I like them is to stuff them and bake them. Since these have an odd and fun scallop shape to them kids are more apt to try them before eating other squash.
