Description

The listing, Rare Find! Discontinued Product! Aveda Fill-Ables Travel Kit. Approx. $20+ value (at least)!!! has ended.

Excellent condition! Never been used. Complete set in zippered bag. Cardboard sleeve in place over bag.

I found it extremely difficult to locate this product, and I bought a few when I found what I believe to be the only salon in the states which may still have some left.

Otherwise, you would have to order them from Europe (which is VERY expensive), and salons there are also running out!

So, although the one salon in the states lists them for $16, then there is S&H, IF they have any left anymore. Ordering from Europe would cost well over $30, I'm sure, when all was said and done.

I have two left, and this is one of them. I have enough bottles/containers from previous sets to last me for plenty of trips.

So...I wanted to pass one along. This is one of my all-time favorite products!!! I highly recommend it!!!

"AVEDA FILL-ABLES"

"Fill. Refill. Refill."

"When you refill travel bottles with your favorite hair and skin care products, you help reduce CO2 emissions - less packaging means cleaner air."

"Comes with toiletry bag, four 1.7 oz. bottles, one spray pump, one 1.0 oz jar, and one label sheet."

Happy bidding. Hope someone loves this as much as I do!!!
Questions & Comments

If anyone is thinking about bidding or seriously watching, please do so as soon as possible. I am thinking about moving this to ebay for the money (since I know it would go pretty quickly there). I would much rather keep the transaction here, however, as I prefer this site. So, I will hold off as long as I feel I can. Thank you!

Thank you to my first bidder!!! Will be providing even more specifics about the set, as someone requested more info on this product in a comment in another auction. Will be back with all the info. I can gather up (mostly from the product packaging/sleeve....

Are they empty or is there mini products inside them?

Good Question! Answer: They are EMPTY. But, they are sturdy plastic containers/bottles that stand up to being filled and refilled over and over again. Durable (yet still squeezable, of course).

If not familiar with Aveda, they pride themselves in the "art and science of pure flower and plant essences" in their hair and skin care products. So, I was not surprised to discover that this product, too, was high quality, and earth-friendly.

More info:
The green zipper pouch/bag itself is made of abaca: "a strong fiber obtained from the leafstalk of a banana [plant] (Musa textilis) native to the Philippines" (Merriam-Webster free online dictionary).

I also learned that this same strong fiber is often used to make rope. Upon close inspection, the bag almost looks like a series of tiny horizontal light green "ropes," held tightly together by darger green, verical, thread fibers. An attractive off-white fabric tag sewn to the zipper displays Aveda's name in dark green.

The 100% recycled fiber sleeve over the bag (all print/text on it done in SOY ink) lists the following care instructions for the bag: "spot-clean only."

Bottles are minimum 80% post-consumer HDPE.
Aveda makes a plea to "Please recycle where possible."
"Forest Stewardship Council Recycled"

If there are different specifics anyone is interested in asking about, please do not hesitate. I am always happy to answer questions!

i was thinking about this auction eariler. i don't really do much traveling. but i can still think of lots of green ways to use this bag. my daughter is always wanting bags to take stuff to papa's in that's uses for the bag and the bottles i can always finds use for. but i read the lady's comment above about this being nice for a trip this summer so i kind of really would like for her to get it now too.
i torn cause i like it. but i'm really a nice person and i hate for her not to get it also. oh my the delemia. good luck rumblebear88

Hmmm...that's a tough one. It would depend what your daughter is wanting to put in the bag. It IS a rather small bag, made for and just big enough to fit the bottle set in it, comfortably. So, if she wants to use it as a small cosmetics bag or something (although I don't know how old she is), it might work. But, it might be too small for other things. Hard to say. Would you like me to measure and give approximate dimensions of the bag? Let me know. If anyone else would like me to provide this information (or other info not mentioned already), it's no problem. I can get back to you late tonight or tomorrow. Thanks.
