The listing, Estate Find! Old Chinese Coin! has ended.

I bought a box at an estate sale that had some different Chinese coins in it. I have two that look like this, and a few other ones. They're all the size of silver dollars. I don't know anything about them but wanted to put one on here and see how it does and if anyone knows anything about it before I put on the rest. If anyone knows anything you're more then welcome to fill me in! Thank you and happy bidding! If the bidding goes high enough I will do free shipping!

I believe this is the a Chinese Trade Dollar. You will need to look it up to be sure. I would first check it with a magnet to see if it steel or silver. The folks in the orient are know for making copies of what is very valuable. It does not look like any trade dollars I am familiar with

I checked them with a magnet (one from my fridge because that's all I have) and they didn't seem magnetic. One of the coins has a general on it and another has a different dragon.

Check out China on the worldcoingallery.com Site. Go to the bottom of the Chinese listing and they will have a link to all the chinese coins. I use this site to helpme identify the coins. At the top there is a Click to see coin value link that will take you to a chart and show you the value of the coins and even if they are silver or not and how much. Check it out. You will get more for your coins if you take a little time to learn more about them.

hello my friend! more than many Chinese coins that were supposed to be silver were made counter fit for years and years. I personally have never seen a Chinese trade dollar like this it's obviously not a British trade dollar. if you have a rare earth magnet that would tell you if it was real or not. also a scale would give you a pretty good idea you just look up how much that coin is supposed to weigh.... good luck because it is a beautiful coin but me personally I have been burnt more than once with Chinese silver.... I really hope you can get it tested somehow and let us know because if its real it can go for a considerable amount of credits close to 100,000
