Description

The listing, Heirloom ✽ GREEN ZEBRA ✽ Specialty Tomato ✽ 15 Seeds ✽ Organic has ended.

A favorite tomato of many high class chefs, specialty markets, and home gardeners, this was one of my favorite too for its incredible beauty. I listed it as a specialty tomato because of its unique beauty, but it is really an all-purpose tomato. The plants yield huge amounts of small to medium chartreuse tomatoes with deep lime-green stripes and a tart, fresh flavor. It makes a beautiful salsa for the Green Bay Packers games here in Wisconsin!

Days: 75
Size: indeterminate
Season: mid-season
Color: green
Type: OP Heirloom
Uses: fresh eating, salsa, juice

This Auction: You will be receiving 15 seeds from my garden. They will be sent First Class mail for FREE in the United States. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 65°F in the spring. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot and thin to one plant per container. After four weeks, transplant seedlings to larger pots, and about 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny, highly composted location when soil temperatures are at least 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Stake or cage the plants for support and to prevent sprawling on the ground.

Oh, I know how you feel. This coming year I will be planting a few less. I overdid it last year & did not have much time for anything except for processing tomatoes. I'm trying a whole bunch of different veggies this year. If it doesn't work out, I'll go back to mostly tomatoes again the following year. LOL
