Want to attract more butterflies to your garden? This quick-growing annual produces vivid orange-red dahlia-like flowers from mid-summer on. Its leaves are, soft, dark green a& lobed. Plants can reach up to 6' tall & 2' wide, filled w/ blossoms in just a few months. Butterflies love them! I can always count on finding them where this plant is growing! Flowers are great for cutting too! Grows best in hot, sunny weather.

Start indoors 4-6 wks before last frost & plant out after danger of frost has passed. Or sow directly into garden in late spring. Avoid exposing seedlings to cold. Personally, I direct sow.

This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds. Water regularly; do not overwater
Resistant to deer. Flowers are good for cutting!

Save your own seeds!
Seed Collecting: Allow seed heads to dry on plants; remove and collect seeds. Wear gloves to protect hands when handling seed heads. Properly cleaned, seed can be successfully stored.

BEWARE of home collected seeds from hybrid plants. They're no longer the same variety. Ask questions. Research >reliable< sources. Learn to succeed in your gardening efforts!

BEWARE AND AVOID -- GREEN bell peppers are UNRIPE bell peppers & aren't likely to provide VIABLE seeds. There are very few varieties that produce bell peppers that ripen to green. Same for GREEN Jalapeno & most other pepper varieties. It only take minutes to check the variety & discover the color of the RIPE pepper.

Apple seeds? Mercy! Don't get me started! JUST RUN AWAY!

Love these! Missed out on them locally at Lowes and some of the other garden stores-seeds flew off the shelf this year! AMEN on the rose and apple seeds! I've been letting listers have it for selling what I consider is a fraudulent item! People shouldn't take advantage of people like that, and I was raised in the Church not to do it and to stop it whenever I could! I guess some of the sellers may be just ignorant themselves, but not all of them! So I take it as my calling to educate them and any possible buyers!
If you'd like to trade seeds later on in the season, let me know. I LOVE fellow gardeners to trade with!
