The listing, Turrettella Agate slice slab from Wyoming has ended.
Small slab of turrettella (turritella) agate from Wyoming, about 1/4" thick, 3 and 1/2" long, 3/4" high at short end, 1 and 1/4" at other end and around 1 and 1/2" at highest part in middle. Nice little rock specimen for your gem and mineral collection, or for cutting into a cabochon or two.
Questions & Comments
wow, I haven't seen this before! what are those large dark perfect circles on it? thank you
Those large oval circles are markings traced on the slab to make cabachons. The smaller circles are the agatized Turritella sea shell that make up the turritella agate fossil rock
how long has the tape been on this piece? can you show a picture with the tape removed? I'm very interested, but don't want to have tape marks on the piece after the tape is removed. thank you
Yes, someone marked it out for cabachons, but its just pencil, and would come off. It is rock after all, so tape adhesive could be removed easily as well.
