Relieve 1998 with a Sony PlayStation.
Up for auction is a PlayStation, two controllers (one Sony and on generic) and the required video cables along with the a couple of original PlayStation games that I still had...
Crash Bandicoot II Final Fantasy VII (worth bidding upon by itself!) and a game sampler disk
I'm offering free shipping in the continental US only. (I imagine that shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is hardly worth it considering the size of the box.) Of course, local pickup is my preferred option.
Depending on the age of the little ones, this may not be the best - Final Fantasy VII can be a bit much and my little ones found Crash Bandicoot a bit scary.
I think Nintendo has the best child friendly lineup. (Stick to anything Mario and you are pretty safe.)
I hooked it up and my wife played "Crash Bandicoot II" for about 20 minutes without a problem. (I took a picture on one of the screen.) We tried out both controllers on the sampler game of "Parator the Rapper" which worked fine.
I've not tried out the memory card, which I found after testing things out. We only fired up the first disc of "Final Fantasy VII" (there are three disks) and everything looked fine - we didn't commit to any serious game play.
