I call this water weed. It has another name I can't remember. it is easy to grow and grows in long vines.has buds on the growth end of the vine. shoots out roots.

this maybe Elodia,-- star weed?? There are several that are similar and I am no expert.
The cold does kill this plant. does well inside aquarium.
can live outside in warm weather and be moved inside for winter.
Geese love to eat this or at least mine do. lol
